EDUCATION: CREATED NUMEROUS TYPES OF INFORMATION MATERIALS INCLUDING REPORTS, FACT SHEETS, GRAPHS, ETC. THAT WERE WIDELY DISSEMINATED BY MAIL, EMAIL, PRESENTATIONS, IN-PERSON DISTRIBUTION, AND WEBSITE.COALITION BUILDING: MAINTAINED AND EXPANDED A VIABLE COALITION OF LAW ENFORCEMENT, SUICIDE PREVENTION, PUBLIC HEALTH, VIOLENCE PREVENTION, COMMUNITY-BASED, CHILDREN AND FAMILY, EDUCATION, FAITH-BASED, AND OTHER GROUPS WITH A COMMON INTEREST IN REDUCING GUN VIOLENCE.PREVENTION POLICY RESEARCH: CONDUCTED AND DISSEMINATED PROFESSIONAL RESEARCH ABOUT GUN VIOLENCE, ITS IMPACT, AND SOLUTIONS. PROVIDED COALITION PARTNERS AND THE PUBLIC WITH CURRENT INFORMATION ABOUT GUN VIOLENCE AND THE NEED FOR SENSIBLE PREVENTION POLICIES.WE HELD OUR FOURTH YOUTH SUMMER INTERNSHIP PROGRAM IN WHICH 15 YOUTH, AGES, 14-21, LEARNED ABOUT THE CAUSES OF AND POTENTIAL SOLUTIONS TO GUN VIOLENCE. THEY PARTICIPATED IN EVENTS, WHERE THEY WERE GIVEN OPPORTUNITIES TO SHARE THEIR NEW KNOWLEDGE AND INTERACT WITH PEOPLE OF ALL AGES ABOUT THIS TOPIC.
