TO DIMINISH THE GUN VIOLENCE IN OUR COMMUNITY, WE WANT TO PROVIDE HOPE AND FREEDOM FOR EVERYBODY.

ENGLEWOOD FIRST RESPONDERS EFR WENT TO GREAT LENGTHS TO PUT THE COMMUNITY FIRST DURING 2021. EFR ENGAGED IN CAPACITY BUILDING WITH OTHER COMMUNITY OUTREACH GROUPS WHICH IN TURN HELPED US REACH MORE INDIVIDUALS. WE HAD SEVERAL HAIRBALL EVENTS WHERE WE HAD HAIR STYLIST COME OUT PERFORM DIFFERENT HAIRSTYLES FOR THE ADULTS/ELDERS AS WELL AS CHILDREN FOR FREE. WE ALSO INVITED THE COMMUNITY TO COME OUT AND HAVE DINNER WITH THE ORGANIZATION FOR THANKSGIVING, CHRISTMAS NEWYEARS EVE. WE FELT IT WAS IMPORTANT TO GET TO KNOW EVERYONE AND WHAT THEIR DESIRES ARE FOR THE COMMUNITY TO THRIVE MORE. WE ENGAGED IN A BLACK HISTORY PROGRAM WITH THE COMMUNITY WHERE WE OFFERED FOOD AND DRINKS FOR THEM TO COME OUT AND WATCH A PRODUCTION THAT GAVE THEM SOME HISTORICAL INFORMATION ON THE COMMUNITY WE CURRENTLY LIVE IN. WE ALSO SPONSORED AN AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM AND AN ARTS AND CRAFT PROGRAM ON SATURDAYS WITH FREE LUNCH. WE PATROLLED THE NEIGHBORHOOD GROCERY STORES TO ASSIST THE CUSTOMERS WITH THEIR GROCERIES AND GAS STATIONS TO OFFER HELP TO THE PATROLS TO PUMP THEIR GAS. WE JUST WANT TO SHOW THAT THIS COMMUNITY CAN BE A GAME CHANGER.
