AFFORDABLE HOUSING - THE ORGANIZATION PARTNERS WITH AFFORDABLE INCOME FAMILIES WITH A DEMOSTRATED NEED FOR BETTER HOUSING OR HOUSING ASSISTANCE WITHIN THE GEOGRAPHICAL AREAS OF SAGINAW AND SHIAWASSEE COUNTIES IN MICHIGAN. ASSISTANCE INCLUDES LOCATION IDENTIFICATION, FINANCING, CONSTRUCTION AND COUNSELING. SSHFH ENGAGES COMMUNITY VOLUNTEERS TO PROVIDE CONSTRUCTION LABOR, THUS REDUCTING THE COST OF REPAIRS AND MAXIMIZING THE USE OF CONTRIBUTED FUNDS.
RESTORE - 2 RESTORE LOCATIONS OFFER NEW AND USED HOME GOODS AND BUILDING MATERIALS AT A REDUCED RATE FOR SALE TO THE PUBLIC. THE PROGRAM PROVIDES ASSISTANCE TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC AND RECYCLES GOODS DESTINED FOR LANDFILLS.
