THE PURPOSE OF INTELLECTUAL DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITY SERVICES (IDDS) IS TO FOSTER CONSUMER EMPOWERMENT, PROMOTE INDEPENDENCE, ENCOURAGE SELF FULFILLMENT,SELF DETERMINATION,AND COMMUNITY INTEGRATION FOR ALL INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES.
THE PURPOSE OF MENTAL HEALTH AND SUBSTANCE USE DISORDER SERVICES IS TO PROVIDE SERVICES THAT REDUCE SYMPTOMS OF MENTAL ILLNESS AND SUBSTANCE USE DISORDERS.AWBS' MENTAL HEALTH PROFESSIONALS USE EVIDENCE BASED PRACTICES TO ASSIST CONSUMERS IN THEIR TREATMENT AND RECOVERY. THIS INCLUDES ASSESSMENTS,INDIVIDUAL AND GROUP THERAPY,CRISIS PLANNING AND COMMUNITY INTEGRATION.
THE PURPOSE OF HEALTH PROMOTION SERVICES IS TO SUPPORT INDIVIDUALS IN MAKING DECISIONS THAT PROMOTE PHYSICAL AND EMOTIONAL WELL-BEING TO ACHIEVE INDEPENDENCE AND A SATISFYING QUALITY OF LIFE.
