WE RUN A FOOD PANTRY HOUSED IN ALBRIGHT UNITED METHODIST CHURCH. IT SERVES AS A CONDUIT FOR FOOD AND CASH CONTRIBUTIONS FROM ABOUT A DOZEN CHURCHES AND FOOD DRIVES BY SCOUTS AND OTHERS TO FEED PEOPLE.

MAC FOOD PANTRY SUPPORTS SUPPORTS FOOD NEEDS FOR PEOPLE IN MISHAWAKA INDIANA BY COLLECTING NON-PERISHABLE FOOD AND CASH GATHERED BY CHURCHES AND OTHER GROUPS LIKE BOY SCOUTS AND A MOTORCYCLE CLUB.THE CASH IS USED TO BUY FRESH FOODS TO PROVIDE BALANCED NUTRITION. WE ALSO GET PRODUCE AND MEAT THROUGH USDA. ALL OF THIS IS GIVEN TO CLIENTS AT NO CHARGE. REVENUE INCLUDES NON-CASH FOOD CONTRIBUTIONS. WE SERVED 1951 FAMILIES WITH 6,559 INDIVIDUALS.
WE HAVE A TRANSIT FUND THAT CAN GIVE BUS PASSES AND GAS CARDS TO HELP PEOPLE GET TO DOCTOR'S APPOINTMENTS, WELFARE OFFICES, ETC. AND TO GET TO NEW JOBS BEFORE THEY GET THEIR FIRST PAYCHECKS. WE HAVE DONORS WHO DONATE SPECIFICALLY FOR THIS MINISTRY BUT THIS YEAR DEMAND WAS ABNORMALLY LIGHT AND WE HAD SEVEN BUS PASSES LEFTOVER FROM 2021 THAT WERE GIVEN OUT. THIS MONEY ENDED UP INCREASING ACCOUNT BALANCE BUT WILL BE USED FOR ITS INTENDED PURPOSE.
