PRESENTING MORE THAN 65 CONCERTS A YEAR ON THE GREAT SPRECKELS ORGAN IN SAN DIEGO'S BALBOA PARK, THE SPRECKELS ORGAN SOCIETY'S MISSION IS TO PRESERVE, PROGRAM, AND PROMOTE THE SPRECKELS ORGAN AS A WORLD TREASURE FOR ALL PEOPLE.

THE SPRECKELS ORGAN SOCIETY AUGMENTS THE SALARY OF THE SAN DIEGO CIVIC ORGANIST SO THAT ORGAN CONCERTS THAT ARE FREE TO THE PUBLIC MAY BE PRESENTED EVERY SUNDAY THROUGHOUT THE YEAR ON THE WORLD'S LARGEST OUTDOOR PIPE ORGAN. THE SOCIETY ALSO PRODUCES AN ANNUAL INTERNATIONAL SUMMER ORGAN FESTIVAL COMPRISED OF ELEVEN MONDAY EVENING CONCERTS THAT BRING THE WORLD'S LEADING TALENT TO SAN DIEGO FOR SPECTACULAR CONCERTS UNDER THE STARS. VOLUNTEER SUPPORT HELPS TO PRESERVE THE ORGAN, BUILDING, AND HISTORY WHILE IMPROVING THE AUDIENCE EXPERIENCE AT THIS UNIQUE OUTDOOR VENUE. EDUCATIONAL PARTNERSHIPS WITH BALBOA PARK INSTITUTIONS, SCHOOLS, AND MUSICALLY-ORIENTED NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS ARE UNDERTAKEN TO BUILD AUDIENCES AND APPRECIATION FOR "THE KING OF INSTRUMENTS".
