CRADLES OF CLAY COUNTY INC., A FAMILY LEARNING MINISTRY, PROVIDES DEVELOPMENTALLY APPROPRIATE CHILD CARE FOR PARENTS TO ENABLE THEM TO IMPROVE THEIR EDUCATION. PARENTING AND MENTORING ARE ALSO A PART OF THE PROGRAM.

THE MISSION OF CRADLES OF CLAY COUNTY, INC. IS TO PROVIDE CHILDREN WITH DEVELOPMENTALLY AGE APPROPRIATE LEARNING EXPERIENCES WHILE PROVIDING PARENTS WITH THE SUPPORT THEY NEED TO FURTHER THEIR EDUCATION AND/OR CONTINUE IN THE WORKFORCE. 47 CHILDREN WERE SERVED AT TWO SITES IN CLAY COUNTY. 79 37 OF 47 OF THE CHILDREN WHO WERE ASSESSED WERE AT OR ABOVE NORMAL MILESTONES ON DEVELOPMENTAL CHECKLISTS. THE CHILDREN WHO WERE BELOW THEIR AGE LEVEL WERE SHOWING IMPROVEMENT OR REFERRED TO FIRST STEPS OR DEVELOPMENTAL PRESCHOOL. ALL CHILDREN WHO ENTERED SCHOOL WERE ON TRACK TO BE HEALTHY IN ALL DOMAINS AND DEMONSTRATED READINESS SKILLS ON PRE-KINDERGARTEN EVALUATIONS. TWELVE CHILDREN WERE PROVIDED WITH TUITION ASSISTANCE. THEIR PARENTS CONTINUED TO MAKE ACHIEVEMENTS THROUGH THEIR ENROLLMENT IN COLLEGE CLASSES AND CNA TRAINING. ONE PARENT BECAME A MANAGER AND ANOTHER PARENT QUIT ABUSING DRUGS. 86 66 OF 77 OF PARENTS WERE EMPLOYED.
