CMA WILL BE THE LEADING ADVOCATE FOR GREATER COLUMBUS PHYSICIANS. CMA'S PUBLIC POLICY INVOLVEMENT INCLUDES SCREENING AND ENDORSEMENT RECOMMENDATIONS OF CANDIDATES AND FINDING SPONSORS TO INTRODUCE LEGISLATION PERTINENT TO PHYSICIANS AND THEIR PATIENTS.CMA IS ITS MEMBERS' ACCESS TO VALUE ADDED KNOWLEDGE, INFORMATION AND SERVICES. THE CMA KEEPS PHYSICIAN MEMBERS UP TO DATE THROUGH EMAILS AND THE PROFESSIONAL & SOCIAL MEDIA SITE 'THE LOOP'. CMA PROVIDES THE COMMUNITY AN ONLINE PHYSICIAN REFERRAL DATABASE. CMA PREPARES PHYSICIAN OFFICES FOR ALL PUBLIC HEALTH CONCERNS BY SENDING ALERTS AND MAINTAINING A COMMUNICATION SYSTEM FOR SHARING OF INFORMATION AMONG PHYSICIANS. ADDITIONALLY, CMA CONVENES EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS FOR PHYSICIANS AND THEIR PRACTICE MANAGERS. MEMBERSHIP IS RECOGNIZED AS THE LEADER FOR ADVANCING COMMUNITY HEALTH. CMA MEMBERS HAVE OPPORTUNITIES FOR LEADERSHIP, VOLUNTEERISM AND PHILANTHROPY THROUGH THEIR AFFILIATION WITH COLUMBUS MEDICAL ASSOCIATION FOUNDATION, CENTRAL OHIO TRAUMA SYSTEMS, PHYSICIANS CARECONNECTION AND PHYSICIANS LEADERSHIP ACADEMY.
