DATA - MEMBER HOSPITALS, LAWMAKERS AND THE MEDIA ALL DEPEND ON IHA FOR DESCRIPTIVE AGGREGATE STATISTICS. IHA PREPARES PATIENT DISCHARGE STUDIES, AMBULATORY SURGERY STUDIES, AND TREND REPORTS THAT ENABLE HOSPITALS TO COMPARE LOCAL EXPERIENCES WITH NATIONAL AND STATE STATISTICS.
EDUCATION - IHA PROVIDES MEMBERS WITH WEEKLY MAILINGS OF CURRENT IHA NEWS ITEMS, REGULATORY REPORTS, AND EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES. ALSO, IHA SPONSORS SEVERAL EDUCATIONAL MEETINGS THROUGHOUT THE YEAR. IHA HOSTS AN ANNUAL MEETING FOR HOSPITAL MEMBERS AND AFFILIATED SOCIETIES.
ADVOCACY - IHA PROVIDES A BROAD ARRAY OF ADVOCACY SERVICES TO ASSIST THE INDUSTRY AND TO HELP MEMBERS TO COMPLY WITH FEDERAL AND STATE REGULATIONS. MEMBERS REGULARLY RECEIVE BULLETINS ON NATIONAL AND STATE REGULATORY ISSUES. IHA INTERPRETS PROPOSED AND FINAL REGULATIONS, AND ADVISES MEMBERS ON HOW TO COMPLY.
