CRISTO REY BROOKLYN CORPORATE WORK STUDY PROGRAM PROVIDES STUDENTS WITH A LIFE-CHANGING OPPORTUNITY TO WORK AND EARN APPROXIMATELY 50% OF THE COST OF THEIR EDUCATION. THIS EXPERIENCE IS AN ESSENTIAL PART OF THEIR EDUCATION AND GROWTH. IT ENABLES STUDENTS TO DIRECTLY CONTRIBUTE TO THE COST OF THEIR EDUCATION WHILE EXPOSING THEM TO THE WORLD OF WORK, ACQUIRE INVALUABLE HARD SKILLS, AND IMPRINTS THE VALUES OF WORK ETHIC, RESPONSIBILITY, AND AMBITION.

THE CRBCWSP ENABLES STUDENTS AT CRISTO REY BROOKLYN HIGH SCHOOL (CRBHS) TO ATTAIN REAL WORLD JOB EXPERIENCE AND ALLOWS STUDENTS TO WORK DURING THE SCHOOL YEAR IN ENTRY-LEVEL JOBS TO COVER APPROXIMATELY 50 PERCENT OR MORE OF THE COST OF THEIR EDUCATION.EACH STUDENT WORKS ONE FULL DAY PER WEEK IN AN ENTRY-LEVEL POSITION AT ORGANIZATIONS REPRESENTING DOZENS OF LEADING BUSINESSES, LAW FIRMS, HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS AND VARIOUS CIVIC, PHILANTHROPIC, AND GOVERNMENTAL ENTITIES. EACH STUDENT WORKS A SPECIFIC DAY EACH WEEK AND ACADEMIC CLASSES ARE SCHEDULED TO ENSURE THAT STUDENTS NEVER MISS A CLASS. CRBCWSP STUDENTS WORK IN A VARIETY OF AREAS INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO ACCOUNTING, HUMAN RESOURCES, OFFICE SERVICES, FINANCE, INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY, MARKETING, AND BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT. STUDENTS ARE TRAINED TO PROVIDE BOTH ONSITE WORK SUPPORT, AS WELL AS VIRTUAL WORK SUPPORT.BY CONTRACTING WITH ITS CORPORATE AND COMMUNITY PARTNERS TO OBTAIN EMPLOYMENT FOR THE STUDENTS OF CRBHS, THE CRBCWSP IS AN INNOVATIVE EDUCATIONAL AND FINANCIAL MODEL THAT ENABLES STUDENTS TO FINANCIALLY ACCESS A PRIVATE, COLLEGE PREPARATORY EDUCATION AND LITERALLY EARN THEIR WAY THROUGH HIGH SCHOOL WHILE SIMULTANEOUSLY GAINING INVALUABLE WORK EXPERIENCE TO BETTER PREPARE THEM FOR COLLEGE AND THE PROFESSIONAL WORKFORCE.
