Part 3 - Line 4a
THAILAND MINISTRY OUR PROGRAMS IN THAILAND ARE ACCOMPLISHED THROUGH GRANTS TO LIFE IMPACT THAILAND FOUNDATION, BASED IN MAE SOT, THAILAND. THE FOUNDATION WAS ORGANIZED IN ORDER TO PROPERLY FACILITATE OPERATIONS IN THE COUNTRY, IT HAS THE SAME LEGAL AUTHORITY AS THE POLICE TO RESCUE CHILDREN THAT ARE TRAFFICKED ON THE THAI/BURMA BORDER IN THEIR REGION AND VICINITY AND IS THE OFFICIAL WATCHTOWER ALONG THE ASEAN HIGHWAY TO INTERVENE ON BEHALF OF THE VICTIMS OF CHILD EXPLOITATION AND CHILD TRAFFICKING. THE LIFE IMPACT THAILAND FOUNDATION HAS PROVIDED EVERY NEED FOR CHILDREN IN THEIR SAFE HOMES SINCE 2015 WHEN THE ORGANIZATION WAS OFFICIALLY APPROVED AS A THAILAND GOVERNMENT-RECOGNIZED SAFE HOUSE. OUR 18 FAMILY-STYLE SAFE HOMES ARE LOCATED ON 41 ACRES. AND OUR EMERGENCY SHELTER IS IN AN UNDISCLOSED LOCATION. IN 2022, 84 UNDERAGE EXPLOITED, ABUSED AS WELL AS TRAFFICKING VICTIMS AND ORPHANS WERE HOUSED AND CARED FOR BY US. 8 OF THESE CHILDREN WERE RESCUED IN 2022. EVERY RESCUED CHILD HAS HOUSE PARENTS AND LIVES IN A FAMILY-LIKE SAFE HOME SETTING. FOOD, SCHOOL EDUCATION, CLOTHING AND HYGIENE SUPPLIES ARE PROVIDED. WE ALSO CARE FOR ALL MEDICAL NEEDS AND PROVIDE EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES FOR THE CHILDREN, SUCH AS SPORTS AND MUSIC PROGRAMS. IN ADDITION, WE PREVENTED THOUSANDS OF CHILDREN FROM BEING SOLD, TRAFFICKED, OR PRESSURED INTO A LIFE OF SLAVERY THROUGH OUR PREVENTION PROJECTS. IN 2022, WE HELD 19 DIFFERENT HUMANITARIAN, EVANGELISTIC, AND PREVENTION OUTREACHES AND REACHED APPROXIMATELY 3,040 VULNERABLE AND AT- RISK PEOPLE IN SCHOOLS, SLUMS, COMMUNITIES AND VILLAGES. 46,904 POUNDS OF FOOD WERE DISTRIBUTED. SEE SCEHDULE F FOR MORE DETAILS ABOUT OUR GRANT-MAKING AND MONITORING PROCESS.
MYANMAR/BURMA MINISTRY BECAUSE OF THE CIVIL WAR, WE OFFERED DISASTER RELIEF TO INTERNALLY DISPLACED PEOPLE IN THE JUNGLES OF BURMA AND EXTREMELY VULNERABLE CHILDREN WHO WERE AT RISK OF BEING TAKEN AS CHILD SOLDIERS OR ARRANGED CHILD BRIDES. IN 2022, WE HELPED 5,550 CHILDREN, WOMEN AND MEN ALIKE WHO WERE HIDING IN THE JUNGLES FOR FEAR OF THEIR LIVES. WE DELIVERED 18,992 POUNDS OF FOOD AND HELD 15 OUTREACHES. IN ADDITION TO DISASTER RELIEF, WE ALSO HAD TO MOVE OUR CHILDREN'S HOME TO A REMOTE LOCATION BECAUSE OF THE CIVIL WAR. WE ACQUIRED LAND AND BUILT A HOME FOR OUR 12 ORPHANED CHILDREN. THE HYGIENIC AND LIVING CONDITIONS CONTINUE TO BE COMPLICATED SINCE THE HOUSING PROVISION IS VERY SIMPLE.
BRAZIL MINISTRY OUR PROGRAMS IN BRAZIL ARE ACCOMPLISHED THROUGH GRANTS TO LIFE IMPACT BRASIL, BASED IN CAMPINA GRANDE, PB, BRAZIL. SINCE 2020, LIFE IMPACT BRASIL HAS SUPPORTED ABUSE AND TRAFFICKING PREVENTION PROGRAMS IN FIVE BRAZILIAN COMMUNITIES IN RIO DE JANEIRO, CEARA (NORTHEAST), AND THE AMAZON REGION (NORTH). THESE PROGRAMS ARE A SAFE PLACE FOR THE CHILDREN TO GO WHERE THEY CAN GET HELP, TUTORING, FOOD, SUPPLIES, PLAY GAMES OR SPORTS, AND LEARN ABOUT JESUS. MORE THAN 500 CHILDREN WERE ENROLLED IN THESE AFTER-SCHOOL PROGRAMS IN 2022 IN ORDER TO PREVENT ABUSE AND EARLY GROOMING INTO A LIFESTYLE OF CRIME OR PROSTITUTION. OUR LIFE IMPACT BRASIL TEAM DOES EVERYTHING THEY CAN TO HELP THEIR FAMILIES AND COMMUNITY WITH FOOD, EDUCATION, COUNSELING, AND SHARING THE GOSPEL WITH THEM. A PROFESSIONAL STAFF OF PSYCHOLOGISTS AND SOCIAL WORKERS VISITS MORE THAN 200 FAMILIES IN "FAVELAS" EVERY YEAR AND IS TRAINED TO RECOGNIZE ANY ABUSE IN THE HOME. THEY WORK WITH PUBLIC ENTITIES TO CHANGE THE COMMUNITY AND KEEP THE CHILDREN SAFE. LIFE IMPACT BRASIL HOLDS COMMUNITY CAMPAIGNS ALERTING ABOUT SEXUAL CHILD ABUSE AND HUMAN TRAFFICKING EVERY YEAR. WE RECENTLY STARTED OFFERING VOCATIONAL TRAINING FOR TEENS AND ARE MOVING FORWARD WITH PREPARING LIFE IMPACT BRASIL'S FIRST SAFEHOUSE FOR RESCUED CHILDREN IN THE AMAZON AREA. GRANTS TO LIFE IMPACT HELP PAY FOR SALARIES OF THE BRAZILIAN TEAM, RENTAL, ETC.
GENERAL MINISTRY IN 2022, WE CONTINUED WORKING HARD IN ORDER TO REACH, RESCUE, AND RAISE UP AT-RISK, EXPLOITED, AND TRAFFICKED CHILDREN. TO FULFILL OUR ORGANIZATION'S MISSION IN THAILAND, MYANMAR AND BRAZIL, WE HAVE MULTIPLE PREVENTION PROJECTS AND CONTINUOUS PROGRAMS IN PLACE. OUR ORGANIZATION RUNS AN ORPHANAGE THROUGH LIFE IMPACT THAILAND FOUNDATION, HOLDS OUTREACH PROJECTS, AND HAS CONTINUOUS PROGRAMS IN ALL THREE COUNTRIES IN PLACE TO BENEFIT THE AT-RISK, AND EXPLOITED CHILDREN AS WELL AS THE LOCAL VULNERABLE POPULATION AND COMMUNITY. WE CARE FOR ORPHANS AND RESCUED CHILDREN IN THAILAND AND MYANMAR, IN ADDITION, WE PROVIDE FAMILY SUPPORT, FOOD, AND MEDICAL DONATIONS FOR PREVENTION. WE ALSO GIVE EDUCATIONAL SUPPORT BY ENABLING AT-RISK CHILDREN IN VULNERABLE COMMUNITIES TO GO TO SCHOOL BY DONATING TUITION AND SUPPLIES, RUNNING AFTER-SCHOOL PREVENTION PROGRAMS FOR HUNDREDS OF CHILDREN IN BRAZIL, AND PROVIDING VOCATIONAL TRAINING PROGRAMS FOR TEENAGERS AND YOUNG ADULTS, AMONG OTHER HUMANITARIAN PROJECTS. WE CONTINUE TO SEE ORPHANS, REFUGEES, DISPLACED PEOPLES, AND CHILDREN ALIKE RECEIVE HIS LOVE AND HOPE INTO THEIR HEARTS THROUGH EVANGELISTIC OUTREACHES, LEADERSHIP TRAININGS, SEMINARS, CHURCH MINISTRY, CHILDREN'S MINISTRIES, AND DISCIPLESHIP PROJECTS.
