THE JEWISH RELIEF AGENCY MOBILIZES A NETWORK OF VOLUNTEERS TO ASSIST JEWISH AND NON-JEWISH INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES TO RELIEVE HUNGER, IMPROVE LIVES AND STRENGTHEN OUR COMMUNITY. EVERY MONTH JRA VOLUNTEERS PACK AND HAND-DELIVER A BOX OF NUTRITIOUS KOSHER FOOD TO LOW-INCOME HOUSEHOLDS IN GREATER PHILADELPHIA. SOME CLIENTS RECEIVE PERSONAL CARE ITEMS SUCH AS DIAPERS AND TOILETRIES, AS WELL AS HEALTHY SNACKS AND FOOD FOR CHILDREN'S LUNCHES. JRA ALSO PROVIDES OTHER SUPPORTIVE SERVICES TO OUR RECIPIENTS INCLUDING TRANSPORTATION TO PHARMACIES AND FOOD PANTRIES AND WEEKLY FRIENDLY PHONE CALLS FOR SENIORS. IN ADDITION, THE JRA LEADERSHIP ACADEMY PROVIDES YOUNG PROFESSIONALS THE OPPORTUNITY TO DEVELOP THEIR LEADERSHIP SKILLS, WHILE LEARNING ABOUT NON-PROFIT MANAGEMENT AND PHILANTHROPY.
