IN HOME SERVICES IS A SUBSIDIARY OF BARBER SERVICES SYSTEMS, INC. THAT PROVIDES SUPPORT FOR INDIVIDUALS WITH DISABILITIES OR BEHAVIORAL HEALTH CHALLENGES AND THEIR FAMILIES WITH THE GOAL OF OFFERING AS MUCH CHOICE AND CONTROL TO FAMILIES AS POSSIBLE IN ACCESSING SERVICES TO MEET THEIR NEEDS.

DR. GERTRUDE A. BARBER IN HOME SERVICES, INC. SUPPORTS THE INDIVIDUAL AS WELL AS THE PARENTS, GUARDIANS, AND OTHER CARE GIVERS THROUGH AGENCY WITH CHOICE (AWC), A FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT/PARTICIPANT DIRECTED SERVICE AVAILABLE TO INDIVIDUALS WITH AN INTELLECTUAL DISABILITY WHO RESIDE IN THEIR OWN RESIDENCE OR THE HOME OF FAMILY MEMBERS. PARTICIPANTS HAVE A HIGH LEVEL OF CHOICE AND CONTROL OVER MANAGING THEIR OWN SERVICES AND SUPPORTS. A JOINT RELATIONSHIP IS FORMED BETWEEN AN INDIVIDUAL AND/OR FAMILY MEMBER WITH THE AWC FAMILY LIAISON WHO ASSISTS IN MANAGING SERVICES BY PROVIDING ADMINISTRATIVE FUNCTIONS, SUCH AS THE TRAINING OF STAFF WHO PROVIDES NEEDED SERVICES IN THE HOME. IN HOME SERVICES PROVIDES SERVICES IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE MISSION STATEMENT AS OUTLINED IN PART III OF THE FORM 990. THE AGENCY WITH CHOICE PROGRAM EXPERIENCED RAPID GROWTH AND NOW SERVES MORE THAN 558 INDIVIDUALS AND THEIR FAMILIES, PROVIDING THEM WITH GREATER CHOICE AND CONTROL OVER THE SERVICES AND CAREGIVERS THAT THEY PREFER TO MEET THEIR NEEDS.
THE VENDOR ONLY SERVICE IS OFFERED THROUGH IN-HOME SERVICES TO ASSIST INDIVIDUALS WITH INTELLECTUAL DISABILITIES AND THEIR FAMILIES WITH ARRANGING FOR NECESSARY SERVICES AND SUPPLIES. THE STAFF ASSIST IN PLANNING AND ARRANGING FOR SERVICES SUCH AS TRANSPORTATION, SPECIALIZED SUPPLIES, HOME AND VEHICLE ADAPTATIONS AND OTHER SIMILAR ITEMS THAT INDIVIDUALS NEED TO SUCCESSFULLY REMAIN IN THEIR HOMES OR THE HOMES OF FAMILY.
IN HOME SERVICES PROVIDES SUPPORTS BROKER SERVICES TO INDIVIDUALS AND THEIR FAMILIES WHO NEED ASSISTANCE SELF-DIRECTING SOME OR ALL OF THEIR SERVICES.
