ITINERIS PROVIDES OPPORTUNITIES FOR INDIVIDUALS WITH AUTISM TO PARTICIPATE MEANINGFULLY IN ALL ASPECTS OF ADULT LIFE. PROGRAMS INCLUDE DAY PROGRAMS, SUPPORTED EMPLOYMENT PROGRAMS, AND PERSONAL SUPPORTS FOR ADULTS 21 AND OLDER. THE PROGRAMS ARE FOCUSED ON HELPING INDIVIDUALS DEVELOP THE SKILLS NEEDED TO LIVE A MEANINGFUL LIFE.

DAY HABILITATION PROGRAM. OPERATING IN A LOW CLIENT TO STAFF RATION, THE PROGRAM FOCUSES ON ENHANCING COMMUNICATION SKILLS USING AMERICAN SIGN LANGUAGE, ASSISTIVE TECHNOLOGY, AND OR THE PICTURE EXCHANGE COMMUNICATION OR BY INCREASING EXPRESSIVE AND RECEPTIVE LANGUAGE. THE PROGRAM PROVIDES ACCOMODATIONS THAT ACKNOWLEDGES THE PREFERENCES OF INDIVIDUALS WITH AUTISM FOR VISUAL PRESENTATION OF THE INFORMATION, WHILE PROVIDING STRUCTURE, STABILITY, AND PREDICTIBILITY IN THEIR DAILY SCHEDULE. HELP INDIVIDUALS WORK TO INCREASE, NOT JUST MAINTAIN, THEIR SKILL LEVELS VIA CONTINUED LEARNING ACTIVITIES. TRANSITIONS INDIVIDUALS FROM LESSON PLANS TO TAILORED ACTIVITIES, WHICH HELP THEM GENERALIZE A SET OF SKILLS INTO THE COMMUNITY AT LARGE.


COMMUNITY LIVING. THE COMMUNITY LIVING PROGRAM STRIVES TO MEET THE INDIVIDUAL NEEDS OF CLIENTS BY PROVIDING QUALITY PROGRAMMING AND RELATED SERVICES, WHICH ARE SPECIFIC TO THE INDIVIDUAL'S NEEDS. THIS PROGRAM EMPHASIZES THE DEVELOPMENT AND COORDINATION OF LIFE SKILLS INCLUDING SOCIAL, BEHAVIORAL, VOCATIONAL INSTRUCTION, RECREATION AND LEISURE, COMMUNICATION, HOUSEHOLD MANAGEMENT, COOKING AND CLEANING, PERSONAL CARE, SELF-ADVOCACY, AND USE OF COMMUNITY RESOURCES IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE INDIVIDUAL'S PERSON CENTERED PLAN, AND BEHAVIOR PLAN, IF APPLICABLE. IN ADDITION, THE COMMUNITY LIVING PROGRAM FOCUSES ON THE PROTECTION OF INDIVIDUAL RIGHTS, THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE PRINCIPLES OF SOCIAL ROLE VALORIZATION, AND THE PROVISION OF SERVICES UTILIZING THE LEAST RESTRICTIVE ALTERNATIVE.


SUPPORTED EMPLOYMENT PROGRAM: OPERATING IN A LOW CLIENT TO STAFF RATIO, THE PROGRAM PROVIDES CONTINUAL JOB SUPPORT TO INDIVIDUALS WITH THEIR PAID OR VOLUNTEER EMPLOYMENT OR MICRO BUSINESSES. EMPHASIZES ASSESSMENT OF STRENGTHS AND NEEDS, VOCATIONAL SKILLS AND JOB PERFORMANCE. INCORPORATES THE WANTS AND NEEDS OF THE INDIVIDUAL IN OUR EFFORT TO HELP FIND THE BEST OCCUPATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES. WORK ON INDIVIDUALS' PREFERRED AREA OF EMPLOYMENT WITH "ON THE JOB" PRACTICE LISTS. CREATES CUSTOMIZED EMPLOYMENT STRATEGIES COMBINING ASSESSMENTS AND INDIVIDUAL PREFERENCES INCLUDING WEEKLY 1:1 JOB RESEARCH AND SUPPORT. TEACHES MULTIPLE STRATEGIES FOR JOB SEARCHES. DEVELOPS BOTH WRITTEN AND VIDEO CLIENT RESUMES. CONDUCTS MOCK INTERVIEWS AND WORK WITH THE INDIVIDUAL ON INTERVIEW PREPARATION. PROVIDES ON-SITE JOB COACHING.
