NATIONAL CHILDREN'S MUSEUM IS A UNIQUE HYBRID INSTITUTION THAT COMBINES LEARNING ELEMENTS FOUND IN A SCIENCE CENTER WITH CHILDREN'S MUSEUM EXPERIENCES. THROUGH HANDS-ON SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY, ENGINEERING, ARTS, AND MATH STEAM BASED EXHIBITS, PROGRAMS, AND VIRTUAL OFFERINGS, THE MUSEUM SPARKS CURIOSITY AND IGNITES CREATIVITY FOR CHILDREN UNDER THE AGES OF TWELVE AND THEIR FAMILIES. FROM FALL 2020 TO FALL 2021, THE MUSEUM DEVELOPED AND DELIVERED VIRTUAL PROGRAMS FOR CHILDREN, CAREGIVERS AND EDUCATORS, WHILE SIMULTANEOUSLY PREPARING FOR THE REOPENING OF THE INSTITUTION IN EARLY SEPTEMBER 2021. VIRTUAL PROGRAMS INCLUDE: VIRTUAL FIELD TRIPS, ACTIVITY VIDEOS, STEAM EXPERT WEBINARS, A CHILDREN'S PODCAST, AND STEAM TAKE-HOME KITS.
