Describe the Organization's Program Activity:
Part 3 - Line 4a
PARADOX SPOTS COMPLETED ITS FIFTH YEAR OF THE ADAPTIVE CLIMBING INITIATIVE IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE NORTH FACE. THE GOAL OF THE PROGRAM IS TO RAISE AWARENESS ABOUT THE IMPORTANCE OF MAKING CLIMBING ACCESSIBLE AND INSPIRING CLIMBING GYMS TO BE TRAINED IN PARADOX SPORTS ADAPTIVE CLIMBING TECHNIQUES. THROUGH THE ADAPTIVE CLIMBING INITIATIVE, MORE THAN 350 PEOPLE HAVE BEEN TRAINED ON OUR PROGRAMS AND EACH NOW HAS THE SKILLS NEEDED TO FACILITATE ADAPTIVE TECHNIQUES IN ACTIVITIES, WHICH HAVE HELPED MORE THAN 200 PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES WHO HAD THE CHANCE TO TRY CLIMBING FOR THE FIRST TIME. HOWEVER, DUE TO THE PANDEMIC, OUR ABILITY TO DELIVER TRAININGS WAS GREATLY REDUCED IN 2020. MULTIPLE CLIMBING GYMS RECEIVED ADAPTIVE CLIMBING EQUIPMENT AND TECHNICAL TRAINING IN 2020. EACH IS NOW MORE PREPARED TO SERVE PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES. PARADOX SPORTS DELIVERED FOUR OF FIVE NATIONAL TRIPS, SERVING A WIDE RANGE OF PEOPLE WITH PHYSICAL DISABILITIES. PROGRAMS INCLUDED SHELF ROAD, GUNKS, NORTH CONWAY AND OURAY. LOCAL PROGRAMS WERE LIMITED DUE TO THE PANDEMIC.
