THE MISSION OF THE MENDELSSOHN CHOIR OF PITTSBURGH IS TO ACHIEVE REGIONAL PREEMINENCE AND A NATIONAL REPUTATION FOR ARTISTIC EXCELLENCE AS AN INDEPENDENT, SYMPHONIC ENSEMBLE EXPLORING AND ADVANCING THE CHORAL ART TO ENGAGE AND INSPIRE SINGERS AND LISTENERS OF ALL AGES.

PSO PARTNERSHIPTHE MENDELSSOHN CHOIR OF PITTSBURGH (MCP) HAS A LONGSTANDING AND SUCCESSFUL ARTISTIC PARTNERSHIP WITH THE PITTSBURGH SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA (PSO) THAT HAS ENDURED FOR ALMOST 95 YEARS. TOGETHER THEY HAVE BROUGHT THE JOYS OF SYMPHONIC CHORAL MUSIC TO HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF INDIVIDUALS IN THE GREATER PITTSBURGH REGION AND ON TOUR.


SELF PRODUCED AND OTHER PARTNERSHIP PROGRAMMINGMCP REACHES AUDIENCES BEYOND THE PSO SYMPHONY HALL THROUGH SELF-PRODUCED CONCERT PROGRAMMING AND COLLABORATIVE PROGRAMMING WITH OTHER ARTS ORGANIZATIONS
