UNDER THE ARTISTIC DIRECTION OF THE QUARTET, THE ORGANIZATION'S MISSION IS TO PRESENT, PROMOTE, AND EDUCATE THE PUBLIC COMMUNITY ABOUT NEW MUSIC AS WELL AS EXPAND AND ENHANCE THE DEPTH OF THE STRING QUARTET REPERTOIRE BY COLLABORATING WITH COMPOSERS ON THE INTERPRETATION OF EXISTING WORKS AND THE COMMISSIONING OF NEW WORKS.JACK MUSIC INCS MAJOR PROGRAMS ARE JACK QUARTET PERFORMANCES AND THE COMMISSIONING OF NEW MUSIC FOR THE STRING QUARTET.JACK QUARTET TOURED FOR PERFORMANCES AT PROMINENT VENUES IN THE UNITED STATES, EUROPE, AND AUSTRALIA. IN THE SPRING JACK PERFORMED IN NEW YORK, CONNECTICUT, CHICAGO, BOSTON, AND CALIFORNIA. JACKS COMMISSIONING PROJECTS INCLUDED WORLD PREMIERES OF NEW WORKS BY NATACHA DIELS, AUSTIN WULLIMAN, JEFFREY MUMFORD, ELLEN FULLMAN, VICENTE ATRIA, JURI SEO, TERRY RILEY, AND YVIND TORVUND. THE JACK STUDIO MENTORSHIP PROGRAM CONTINUED, INCLUDING ONGOING RESIDENCIES WITH COMPOSERS NURSALIM YADI ANUGERAH, KEIR GOGWILT, JULES REIDY, AND AILIE ORMSTON.
