EMMANUEL MUSIC ENGAGES WITH AUDIENCES AND MUSICIANS TO EXPLORE THE ENDURING QUESTIONS OF OUR SHARED HUMAN EXPERIENCE, BUILDING ON OUR CORE COMMITMENT TO THE MUSIC OF J.S. BACH. EXPANDING ON A 49-YEAR TRADITION OF PRESENTING WEEKLY BACH CANTATAS IN A LITURGICAL SETTING, WE PERFORM CONCERT REPERTOIRE FROM BAROQUE TO CONTEMPORARY IN LARGE AND SMALL ENSEMBLES, INVITING AUDIENCES TO EXPLORE AND DISCOVER FAMILIAR AND UNFAMILIAR MASTERWORKS. THE COMMITMENT AND DISCIPLINE OF PERFORMING TOGETHER MORE THAN 50 TIMES A YEAR NURTURES A CORE OF ESTABLISHED AND EMERGING MUSICIANS AND FOSTERS UNPARALLELED ARTISTIC EXCELLENCE. ARTISTIC: THE SUNDAY MORNING CANTATA SERIES, THE HEART OF EMMANUEL MUSIC, CONTINUES, COORDINATING WITH THE WEEKLY LITURGY. WITH RYAN TURNER AS PRINCIPAL CONDUCTOR, GUEST CONDUCTORS INCLUDED MICHAEL BEATTIE AND JOHN HARBISON. WITH THE CHALLENGES PRESENTED BY COVID-19, WE DID NOT PRESENT ANY MAINSTAGE/EVENING CONCERTS, BUT CONTINUED WITH OUR WEEKLY CANTATA SERIES ADHERING TO COVID-19 SAFETY AND PROTOCOL. THESE PERFORMANCES WERE LIVESTREAMED AND OFFERED TO VIEW FREE OF CHARGE ON YOUTUBE. WE CONTINUED WITH AND UPLOADED TO YOUTUBE OUR LINDSEY CHAPEL SERIES, A SERIES OF SMALL CHAMBER PIECES PERFORMED WEEKLY ON THURSDAYS AT LUNCHTIME FOR 6-7 WEEKS IN MARCH AND APRIL. IN-PERSON ADMISSION WAS REDUCED, CAREFULLY MONITORED AND (AS ALWAYS) FREE TO THE PUBLIC. ADDITIONALLY, EMMANUEL MUSIC IS PROUD TO HAVE STAGED, PROFESSIONALLY RECORDED, AND SHARED A FULL-LENGTH PERFORMANCE OF 'LA RESUREZZIONE' BY GEORG FRIEDRICH HANDEL.
