TRPIL PROVIDES TO AFFILIATED ORGANIZATIONS COMPREHENSIVE SUPPORT SERVICES WHICH INCLUDE A)THE DEVELOPMENT OF SATELLITE FACILITIES, JOINT VENTURES, EDUCATIONAL SERVICES, HOME HEALTH CARE SERVICES, AND HOUSING OPPORTUNITIES FOR PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES; B)THE FACILITATION AND COORDINATION OF HEALTH, SCIENTIFIC AND EDUCATIONAL RESOURCES C)OTHER WORK AS MAY BE NECESSARY TO CARRY OUT THE PURPOSES ENUMERATED ABOVE, INCLUDING PURCHASING AND LEASING EQUIPMENT AND PROPERTY, REAL OR PERSONAL, RENDERING CONSULTATION, ADVICE, EDUCATION AND TRAINING SERVICES, AND PROVIDING TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE TO ORGANIZATIONS WHICH QUALIFY AS EXEMPT FROM FEDERAL INCOME TAXATION UNDER CODE SECTION 501.
DURING THE FISCAL YEAR ENDED JUNE 30, 2022 IT WAS DETERMINED THAT THE CARRYING VALUE OF THE BUILDING THAT THE ORGANIZATION ACQUIRED, RENOVATED AND CONVERTED TO IT'S DISABILITY SERVICES, TRAINING CENTER AND HEADQUARTERS WAS SIGNIFICANTLY HIGHER THAN THE FAIR VALUE OF THE PROPERTY AS A RESULT OF THE BUILDING REMDIATION AND CONSTRUCTION COSTS. AN IMPAIRMENT LOSS OF LONG-LIVED ASSETS WAS RECOGNIZED IN THE AMOUNT OF (8,069,225) FOR JUNE 30, 2022 FISCAL YEAR. THE WRITE-DOWN BRINGS THE CARRYING VALUE OF THE BUILDING TO A NET BOOK VALUE OF 1,000,000 AT JUNE 30, 2022 WHICH ESTIMATES FAIR VALUE. THE 1,000,000 FAIR VALUE ESTIMATE OF THE BUILDING TAKES INTO CONSIDERATION THE 2,468,700 OF ADDITIONAL COST FOR COMPLETION OF PHASE II OF THE BUILDING, OF WHICH 504,621 HAD BEEN INCURRED AS OF JUNE 30, 2022.
