PROVIDE A SERVICE TO THE UNITED STATES CONGRESS TO ENHANCE MUTUAL UNDERSTANDING AND PROMOTE DEMOCRATIC VALUES WITH ALL COUNTRIES, PARTICULARLY IN ASIA. THE FOUNDATION HAS NO ADVOCACY ROLE, IT DOES NOT TAKE POSITIONS ON ISSUES AND DOES NOT ENGAGE IN LOBBYING. THE FOUNDATION IS INDEPENDENT, NON-PARTISAN AND HAS NO AFFILIATION WITH AND POLITICAL PARTY.

DUE TO THE COVID PANDEMIC WE SUSPENDED OUR PRIMARY PROGRAMS THAT REQUIRED PERSONAL CONTACT AND INTERNATIONAL TRAVEL. WE FOCUSED ON ACTIVITIES THAT WOULD ENHANCE OUR UNDERSTANDING OF THE LONG-TERM IMPACT OF OUR RELATIONS WITH COUNTRIES IN ASIA. NOW WE ARE UTILIZING THIS INFORMATION TO ADJUST FUTURE PROGRAMS TO BETTER MEET OUR GOALS AND SERVE THE INTERESTS OF THE UNITED STATES CONGRESS.
