THE MISSION OF THE INSTITUTE FOR GOVERNANCE & SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT IS TO BUILD RESILIENCE BY ACCELERATING FAST CLIMATE MITIGATION ACTIONS TO SLOW NEAR-TERM WARMING AND SELF-REINFORCING CLIMATE FEEDBACKS, AVOID CATASTROPHIC CLIMATE AND SOCIETAL TIPPING POINTS, AND LIMIT GLOBAL TEMPERATURE TO 1.5C - OR AT LEAST KEEP THIS TEMPERATURE GUARDRAIL IN SIGHT.

THE CENTER FOR CLIMATE INTEGRITY (CCI) (FORMERLY CELP) WORKS WITH PARTNERS IN COMMUNITIES ACROSS THE COUNTRY TO EDUCATE THE PUBLIC AND POLICY MAKERS ABOUT THE MASSIVE COSTS OF THE DAMAGE ATTRIBUTABLE TO CLIMATE CHANGE AND THE NEED FOR CLIMATE POLLUTERS TO PAY THEIR FAIR SHARE.


THE FAST-ACTION CLIMATE MITIGATION CAMPAIGN- TO PROMOTE NON-CO2 STRATEGIES THAT WILL RESULT IN SIGNIFICANT EMISSIONS REDUCTIONS IN THE NEAR TERM AS WELL AS TO COMPLEMENT CUTS IN CO2 WHICH ARE ESSENTIAL IN THE LONG-TERM.
