EDUCATE, ADVOCATE AND EMPOWER VICTIMS/SURVIVORS OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE, SEXUAL ASSAULT, JUVENILE OFFENSES, AND ALL OTHER CRIME. EXISTING PROGRAMS INCLUDE: 1) COUNSELING ADVOCACY -- INDIVIDUAL AND GROUP EMPOWERMENT COUNSELORS PROVIDE INTERVENTIONS THAT ARE ACTION FOCUSED, CLIENT-CENTERED, AND TRAUMA INFORMED. 2) EDUCATION ADVOCACY -- PROVIDE STRATEGIES TO PREVENT VICTIMIZATION BY FOCUSING ON CONDITIONS THAT REDUCE VIOLENCE, ONE-TIME, EDUCATIONAL/COMMUNITY AWARENESS PROGRAMS DESIGNED TO RAISE AN UNDERSTANDING OF VIOLENCE AND VICTIMIZATION IN OUR COMMUNITY, AND PROVIDE AN 80-HOUR CRISIS INTERVENTION TRAINING THAT IS ACTION FOCUSED, CLIENT-CENTERED AND TRAUMA INFORMED. 3) SHELTER ADVOCACY -- CRISIS HOTLINE PROVIDES AROUND THE CLOCK SUPPORT AND GUIDANCE 24 HOURS A DAY, 7 DAYS A WEEK, 365 DAYS A YEAR, SAFETY PLANNING INCLUDES STEPS AND OPTIONS FOR INCREASING THE SAFETY OF VICTIMS/SURVIVORS AND PREPARING IN ADVANCE FOR THE POSSIBILITY OF FUTURE VICTIMIZATION, ON-CALL ADVOCACY OFFERS VICTIMS/SUR

THE ORGANIZATION ASSISTED AND SUPPORTED INDIVIDUALS OF OVER 1,300 VICTIMIZATIONS INCLUDING OVER 200 CHILD SEXUAL ABUSE/ASSAULTS AND NEARLY 900 DOMESTIC VIOLENCE INCIDENCES. VICTIM COMPENSATION ASSISTANCE INFORMATION AND REFERRALS WERE PROVIDED TO ALMOST 600 INDIVIDUALS. ORGANIZATION PERSONNEL PROVIDED PERSONAL ADVOCACY/ACCOMPANIMENT AND EMOTIONAL SUPPORT AND/OR SAFETY SERVICES TO NEARLY 1,000 INDIVIDUALS. OVER 900 HOTLINE/CRISIS LINE COUNSELING CALLS WERE HANDLED. OVER 1,400 INDIVIDUAL AND SUPPORT GROUP COUNSELING SESSIONS WERE CONDUCTED. THE ORGANIZATION'S EMERGENCY SHELTER WAS UTILIZED NEARLY 550 NIGHTS. CRIMINAL/CIVIL JUSTICE SYSTEM ASSISTANCE WAS PROVIDED TO OVER 450 INDIVIDUALS.
THE ORGANIZATION'S EDUCATION DEPARTMENT CONDUCTED OVER 100 INITIATIVES RANGING FROM PRIMARY PREVENTION EDUCATION AND AWARENESS PROGRAMS TO COMMUNITY EVENTS AND PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENTS. OVER 900 INDIVIDUALS, RANGING FROM ELEMENTARY SCHOOL CHILDREN TO HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS, PARTICIPATED IN PRIMARY PREVENTION EDUCATION.
