THE MISSION OF THE AGENCY IS TO PROVIDE COMPREHENSIVE SOCIAL SERVICES TO THE AGING POPULATION OF MERCER COUNTY. THE AGENCY PROVIDES VARIOUS PROGRAMS AND SERVICES THROUGH THE ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICES, WHICH ARE LOCATED IN MERCER, PENNSYLVANIA. THE AGENCY OPERATES A NETWORK OF SENIOR SERVICE CENTERS LOCATED IN, THE SHENANGO VALLEY, GREENVILLE, GROVE CITY, AND SANDY LAKE. THE AGENCY'S GOALS INCLUDE ADDRESSING THE UNMET NEEDS OF OLDER ADULTS AND FAMILIES; HELPING SENIORS MAINTAIN THE HIGHEST LEVEL OF INDEPENDENCE POSSIBLE; EMPHASIZING THE DELIVERY OF PREVENTATIVE HEALTH SERVICES AND THE PROMOTION OF HEALTHY LIFESTYLES; AND, EMPHASIZING ACCESS TO AND DELIVERY OF CARE TO OLDER ADULTS OF GREATEST SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC NEED.

AGING SERVICES: IN-HOME SERVICES- COORDINATED STAFF ACTIVITIES ARE PROVIDED BY TRAINED CARE MANAGERS TO DETERMINE WITH THE CLIENT WHAT SERVICES ARE NEEDED AND TO COORDINATE THEIR PROVISION. CLIENTS ARE CAREFULLY EVALUATED TO DETERMINE TYPES AND LEVELS OF SERVICES NEEDED. CLIENTS AND SERVICES ARE MONITORED REGULARLY AND ADJUSTMENTS IN SERVICES ARE MADE WHEN APPROPRIATE. FUNDS FOR THESE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED BY THE PA DEPT. OF HUMAN SERVICES TO SUPPORT TRANSPORTATION SERVICES TO MEDICAL ASSISTANCE RECIPIENTS WHO NEED MEDICAL CARE.
