AS THE NATION'S PREMIER ORGANIZATION, CPIC WAS DEDICATED TO PREVENTING CANCER AND REDUCING ITS BURDEN WHERE IT CANNOT YET BE PREVENTED. CPIC'S INNOVATIVE CANCER PREVENTION RESEARCH AND OUTREACH PROGRAMS WERE DELIVERING A COMPREHENSIVE ARSENAL FOR DEFEATING CANCER.

CPIC HAS VOLUNTARILY DECIDED TO CLOSE ITS DOORS. ALL SCIENTIFIC PROGRAMS AND ASSETS HAVE BEEN DONATED TO LELAND STANFORD UNIVERSITY AND THE UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA, SAN FRANCISCO, WHERE THEY CONTINUE. CPIC HAS DISCONTINUED ITS BUSINESS AFFAIRS, AND THE CORPORATION IS NOW BEING DISSOLVED.
