GRANTS TO THE HOSPITAL AND SUPPORTING ORGANIZATIONS OR PROGRAMS FOR OPERATING AND CAPITAL COSTS.THERE WAS GRANT FUNDING FOR THE EXPANSION AND OPERATIONS OF THE MARIO PASTEGA GUEST HOUSE. THIS WILL ALLOW MORE INDIGENT FAMILIES TO STAY NEAR THE HOSPITAL WHEN THEY OR THEIR FAMILY MEMBERS ARE RECEIVING CARE AT THE HOSPITAL. PROGRAM GRANTS IN 2021 INCLUDED FUNDING FOR SEVERAL HOSPITAL PROGRAMS, AND FUNDING FOR RESEARCH GRANTS TO OREGON STATE UNIVERSITY AND THE HOSPITAL.SEE SCHEDULE I, PART II FOR A LISTING OF 2021 GRANTS.
PROVIDED EMERGENCY FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO HOSPITAL EMPLOYEES WHO ARE EXPERIENCING AN UNEXPECTED FINANCIAL NEED, THE CAUSE OF WHICH IS BEYOND THE EMPLOYEE'S CONTROL. ACCEPTABLE FUNDING REQUESTS MAY INCLUDE: EVICTION NOTIFICATION, UTILITY TURN-OFF NOTIFICATIONS, PAST DUE MEDICAL BILLS, AND UNEXPECTED/UNPLANNED EXPENSES. SEE SCHEDULE I, PART III.
