THE PRIMARY MISSION OF SAFE ASSOCIATION IS TO STIMULATE RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT IN THE FIELDS OF SAFETY AND SURVIVAL AND TO DISSEMINATE PERTINENT INFORMATION TO CONCERNED INDIVIDUALS IN GOVERNMENT AND INDUSTRY.

SAFE CULMINATES EACH YEAR'S ACTIVITIES WITH THE SAFE SYMPOSIUM. TOPICS COVERED RANGE FROM DESERT SURVIVAL TO THE LATEST AIRCRAFT PASSENGERS EGRESS AIDS, COCKPIT DESIGN, RESTRAINT SYSTEMS, SYSTEMS RELATED TO TRANSPORTATION AND SAFETY, AND CREW TRAINING. ATTENDEES INCLUDE AN INTERNATIONAL GROUP OF PROFESSIONAL SCIENTIFIC AND TECHNICAL LEADERS FROM INDUSTRY, GOVERNMENT, AND MILITARY AGENCIES. THE SYMPOSIUM PROVIDES TECHNICAL INFORMATION, STATE-OF-THE-ART DISPLAYS, AND HARDWARE IN THE EXHIBIT AREA AND FORUMS FOR A SHARING OF PROBLEMS AND SOLUTIONS IN THE FIELD OF SAFETY AND SURVIVAL. THE SYMPOSIUM HAS THE POTENTIAL TO DRAW OVER 1,000 ATTENDEES ANNUALLY.
SAFE ASSOCIATION MAKES AVAILABLE AN ELECTRONIC VERSION OF THE PROCEEDINGS OF THE ANNUAL SYMPOSIUM AS WELL AS COPIES OF OTHER INFORMATION ACQUIRED OR OTHERWISE RECEIVED. THE ASSOCIATION CHARGES ONLY ENOUGH TO COVER ITS COSTS.
