WE ARE A BLACK LED 501(C)(3) NONPROFIT ORGANIZATION DEDICATED TO SAVING LIVES THROUGH WATER SAFETY EDUCATION, LEGISLATION, AND INCREASING EQUITABLE ACCESS TO SWIMMING LESSONS AND TOOLS.

FROM 2022 TO 2023 WE MORE THAN TRIPLED OUR IMPACT! WE SUPPORTED OVER 700 CHILDREN THROUGH FREE SWIM LESSONS WHICH EQUATED TO 4,121 LESSONS. WE ALSO SUPPORTED OUR FIRST TWO PROGRAMS OUT-SIDE OF WASHINGTON STATE, ENTERING INTO COLORADO.WE PARTICIPATED IN MORE THAN 15 COMMUNITY EVENTS IN 2023. WE HOSTED AND SUPPORTED FUNDRAISERS AND PARTICIPATED IN MANY COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT FAIRS FROM THE CITY OF SEATTLE DOWN TO TACOMA. OUR LIFE JACKET LOANER STATIONS ARE CURRENTLY BEING INSTALLED AT FIVE BELLEVUE BEACHES. LIFEJACKETS ARE AN IMPORTANT LAYER WITHIN WATER SAFETY.IN ADDITION TO OUR STATIONS, WEVE BEEN WORKING WITH THE WASHINGTON STATE PARKS DEPARTMENT TO PROVIDE FREE LIFE JACKETS AT EVENTS.WASHINGTON STATE REPRESENTATIVE APRIL BERG HELPED US TO SUCCESSFULLY CRAFT AND PASS HOUSE BILL 1750, ALSO KNOWN AS YORIS LAW. THE LAW PROMOTES NATIONAL WATER SAFETY GOALS AND OFFICIALLY DESIGNATES MAY 15TH AS WATER SAFETY DAY IN WASHINGTON.
