SPEAKING HONORARIUM:THE KOSHKA FOUNDATION DELIVERED VIRTUAL PRESENTATIONS AND TRAINING REACHING OVER 3,000 INDIVIDUALS IN SCHOOL-BASED LAW ENFORCEMENT, SECURITY AND VIOLENCE PREVENTION ROLES, EDUCATION AND WORKPLACE VIOLENCE POSITIONS. PARTNERING AND WORKING DIRECTLY WITH HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS CONCERNED ABOUT SCHOOL SAFETY, THE KOSHKA FOUNDATION CURATED TRAINING WITH SURVIVORS, WHO SHARED THEIR STORY FOR THE FIRST TIME FOR EDUCATIONAL PURPOSES. PRESENTATIONS ALSO REACHED UNIVERSITY-LEVEL COURSES, AS THE KOSHKA FOUNDATION PROVIDED FREE TRAINING TO STUDENTS IN CRISIS MANAGEMENT, COUNSELING EDUCATION AND THREAT ASSESSMENT.
THREAT ASSESSMENT TRAINING:GROUNDED IN RESEARCH, THREAT ASSESSMENT AND THREAT MANAGEMENT ARE RECOGNIZED AS THE CURRENT BEST PRACTICES FOR PREVENTING TARGETED SCHOOL-BASED VIOLENCE, AS WELL AS WORKPLACE VIOLENCE AND CAMPUS VIOLENCE. THE KOSHKA FOUNDATION IS WORKING TO DEVELOP ONLINE RESOURCES TO BETTER EDUCATE COMMUNITIES ABOUT HOW TO CREATE THREAT ASSESSMENT TEAMS.
RESOURCE LIBRARY: THE KOSHKA FOUNDATION CREATED AND MADE AVAILABLE SHORT RESOURCE GUIDES AND HANDOUTS, TAILORED TO COMMUNITY MEMBERS OF EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS, LAW ENFORCEMENT, EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT AND STUDENTS TO HELP CONTINUE THEIR UNDERSTANDING OF SCHOOL SAFETY AND BEHAVIORAL THREAT ASSESSMENT.
SURVIVOR OUTREACH:KOSHKA FOUNDATION FOSTERS DEVELOPMENT AND PEER-TO-PEER CONNECTION FOR SURVIVORS OF MASS VIOLENCE TO SHARE EXPERIENCES AND PERSPECTIVES IN PERSONAL RECOVERY AND HEALING FOLLOWING MASS TRAUMA. THE FOUNDATION SUPPORTS A SURVIVORS SPEAKERS BUREAU TO EMPOWER SURVIVORS TO DEVELOP EDUCATIONAL PRESENTATIONS TO SHARE THEIR EXPERIENCES AND BRING ABOUT A BROADER UNDERSTANDING OF THE SURVIVOR EXPERIENCE TO INFORM THE WORK OF VICTIM'S RIGHTS ADVOCATES, LAW ENFORCEMENT, MENTAL HEALTH PROFESSIONALS, SAFETY AND SECURITY LEADERS AND PUBLIC HEALTH RESEARCHERS IN TRAUMA AND VIOLENCE PREVENTION.
