FIRE PREVENTION AND COMMUNITY RESILIENCE:(A) JUNIOR FIRE MARSHAL PROGRAM: THIS PROGRAM IS DESIGNED TO EDUCATE 3RD AND 4TH-GRADE STUDENTS ABOUT FIRE HAZARDS, HOME FIRE SAFETY, AND HOW TO EVACUATE AND CONTACT 911 IN CASE OF A HOUSE FIRE.(B) FIRESMART:LA PROGRAM: THIS PROGRAM INVOLVES GOING DOOR-TO-DOOR IN AT-RISK COMMUNITIES TO INSPECT HOMES AND INSTALL FREE SMOKE ALARMS IN ACCORDANCE WITH NFPA POLICIES. IT ALSO PROVIDES ESCAPE PLANS, FIRE SAFETY MATERIALS, AND TEACHES FAMILIES HOW TO EVACUATE AND CONTACT 911.(C) WILDFIRE PROGRAM IN L.A. AND RIVCO: THIS PROGRAM HELPS COMMUNITIES PREPARE FOR WILDFIRES, INCLUDING BECOMING NFPA FIREWISE SITES.
