THE FOOD CUPBOARD PROVIDES A 7-10 DAY SUPPLY OF FOOD TO 1,459 UNDUPLICATED FAMILIES, OR 4,119 INDIVIDUALS (REPRESENTING 427 SENIORS; 2,350 ADULTS; AND 1,342 CHILDREN) ANNUALLY. THE MONTHLY AVERAGE OF FAMILIES SERVED IS 571. KACS PROVIDED 459 FAMILIES AN ADDITIONAL FOOD DISTRIBUTION FOR THANKSGIVING DINNER. KACS PROVIDED 533 FAMILIES AN ADDITIONAL FOOD DISTRIBUTION FOR CHRISTMAS DINNER.
EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE - PROVIDES CASE MANAGEMENT SERVICES FOR A PERIOD OF ONE TO TWELVE MONTHS TO 551 HOUSEHOLDS. SOME OF THESE HOUSEHOLDS ONLY RECEIVED CASE MANAGEMENT, SOME RECEIVED FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FOR HOTEL STAYS, RENT, UTILITIES OR OTHER BASIC NEEDS AS CRISIS INTERVENTION.
EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS - IMPLEMENTATION OF BRIDGES OUT OF POVERTY, INTERVENTIONS TO REDUCE POVERTY FOR INDIVIDUAL FAMILIES. 200 COMMUNITY MEMBERS AND AGENCY STAFF TRAINED IN BRIDGES, AS WELL AS 27 GRADUATES IN THE GETTING AHEAD PROGRAM AND 12 INVESTIGATORS IN THE STAYING AHEAD PROGRAM. COMMUNITY RAISED BEDS FOR GARDENING WERE IMPLEMENTED AND MAINTAINED IN THE FOOD CUPBOARD PROGRAM WITH VOLUNTEERS AND PARTICIPANTS. VEGETABLES HARVESTED WERE DISTRIBUTED IN THE FOOD CUPBOARD PROGRAM.
