OVERALL, OUR STAFF HAD GREATER THAN 12,100 CONTACTS BY PHONE, EMAIL AND IN PERSON FOR INFORMATION, REFERRAL AND SERVICES. COMMUNITY SERVICES: PROVIDED RESIDENTS RESOURCES NECESSARY TO BE SAFE, HEALTHY AND MOVE TO SELF-SUFFICIENCY. BENEFITS ACQUISITION SUPPORT (INCLUDING SNAP/FOOD STAMPS, MEDICAID, LIHEAP, UNEMPLOYMENT) WAS PROVIDED TO OVER 250 HOUSEHOLDS. BUDGETING AND FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE OF OVER 25,000 (INCLUDING RENTAL, UTILITY, MEDICAL, TRANSPORTATION AND OTHER BASIC NEEDS) WAS PROVIDED TO OVER 50 HOUSEHOLDS; DOMESTIC VIOLENCE COUNSELING TO OVER 40 INDIVIDUALS; HOLIDAY GIFTS TO 400 CHILDREN; BACK-TO-SCHOOL SUPPLIES TO 181 CHILDREN. FOOD AND NUTRITION: THE OPEN LINK'S FOOD PANTRY WAS THE ONLY ONE IN MONTGOMERY COUNTY THAT MAINTAINED FULL CHOICE THROUGHOUT THE PANDEMIC USING OUR ONLINE INVENTORY AND ORDERING SYSTEM WITH SAFE "NO TOUCH" PICK-UP OR DELIVERY. CONTINUING THE TREND THIS PAST YEAR SERVING OVER 750 INDIVIDUALS 164,320 POUNDS OF FOOD. THROUGH OUR "FOOD PANTRY WITHOUT WALLS" PROGRAM WE DELIVERD GROCERIES TO 65 SENIOR HOUSEHOLDS WITH MOBILITY OR TRANSPORTATION ISSUES. VOLUNTEERS AND STAFF DISTRIBUTED OVER 10,000 MEALS TO CHILDREN THROUGH THE SUMMER KIDS MEALS PROGRAM. THROUGH TOL'S MEALS ON WHEELS PROGRAM, VOLUNTEERS AND STAFF PREPARED AND DELIVERED 16,378 NUTRITIOUS MEALS STRAIGHT TO THE HOMEBOUND ELDERLY; COMMUNITY LUNCH: 2,267 LUNCHES WERE SERVED TO SENIORS IN OUR COMMUNITY AT DRIVE-THROUGH OR WALK-UP EVENTS; DISTRIBUTED THANKSGIVING DINNERS SERVING 259 PEOPLE; PLAYED LEADERSHIP ROLE IN FIRST MONDAY COMMUNITY MEAL PROVIDING 160 MEALS/MONTH TO FOLKS IN THE COMMUNITY. EDUCATION: INSTRUCTORS AND TUTORS GAVE FREE ASSISTANCE TO 15 STUDENTS PREPARING FOR TESTING TO OBTAIN THEIR HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA VIA TESTING SAFELY GIVEN ON-SITE; 31 SUBJECT TESTS WERE TAKEN WITH A 94% PASS RATE; 5 OBTAINED THEIR HS DIPLOMA.
