KENSINGTON COMMUNITY CORPORATION FOR INDIVIDUAL DIGNITY (KENCCID) EMPOWERS DISABLED ADULTS ("INDIVIDUALS") TO ACHIEVE THEIR GOALS, DREAMS AND ASPIRATIONS IN A NON-INSTITUTIONAL, COMMUNITY SETTING. KENCCID PROVIDES SUPPORT AND SERVICES WITH COMPASSION, RESPECT, CULTURAL COMPETENCE, AND WITH A FOCUS ON INDIVIDUAL SELF-DETERMINATION, SELF-EXPRESSION, AND SELF-ADVOCACY. KENCCID OPTIMIZES COMMUNITY INTEGRATION OF THE INDIVIDUALS WE SERVE THROUGH EFFECTIVE AND SUPPORTIVE COMMUNICATION WITH RESIDENT INDIVIDUALS, BY FACILITATING INDIVIDUAL EMPLOYMENT, BY ENABLING DESIRED PERSONAL RELATIONSHIPS, BY ENSURING THAT INDIVIDUAL RIGHTS ARE OBSERVED AND RESPECTED, BY ENSURING THE HEALTH AND SAFETY OF INDIVIDUALS, AND BY ENGAGING IN EFFECTIVE ADVOCACY OF INDIVIDUALS' INTERESTS WITH EXTERNAL STAKEHOLDERS AND SERVICE PROVIDERS.
