PROVIDES SERVICES FOR THE ELDERLY IN MONTGOMERY COUNTY (IE. RECREATION, SOCIAL ACTIVITIES, OUTREACH, INFORMATION AND REFERRAL, ETC.) COMMUNITY EDUCATION CLASSES: 1,261 HEALTH & NUTRITION CLASSES: 758 FITNESS & EXERCISE: 5,011 HEALTH SCREENINGS AND INJURY PREVENTION: 56
MEALS ON WHEELS PROGRAM WHICH SERVED OVER 152,000 MEALS AND CONGREGATE MEAL PROGRAMS SERVED OVER 3,700 MEALS.
THE ART CENTER AT AMBLER OFFERS CLASSES AND WORKSHOPS, EXHIBITIONS, AND SPECIAL EVENTS IN VISUAL ARTS FOR SENIORS, ADULTS, TEENS AND CHILDREN. WE WORK TO BUILD A SUSTAINABLE AND VIBRANT LOCAL AND REGIONAL ARTS COMMUNITY USING THE ARTS AS A CATALYST FOR PERSONAL EMPOWERMENT, WELLNESS, CULTURAL ENRICHMENT AND SOCIAL CHANGE. WE BELIEVE THAT EQUITABLE ACCESS TO THE ARTS IS AN INTEGRAL PART OF A VIBRANT COMMUNITY, AND OUR PROGRAMS MANIFEST THIS BELIEF.
