POWERCORPS PHL POWERCORPS IS A CITY OF PHILADELPHIA AMERICORPS INITIATIVE THAT OPERATES IN CLOSE PARTNERSHIP WITH THE ORGANIZATION. IT IS DESIGNED TO SUPPORT THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA'S ENVIRONMENTAL STEWARDSHIP INITIATIVES, YOUTH VIOLENCE PREVENTION AND WORK SHOP DEVELOPMENT PRIORITIES. POWERCORPS ANNUALLY ENROLLS 160 INDIVIDUALS AGES 18-26 IN A 9-MONTH PROGRAM, 6 MONTHS OF FULL- TIME SERVICE AS AMERICORPS MEMBERS WITH CITY DEPARTMENTS FOLLOWED BY 3 MONTHS OF INTENSIVE JOB PLACEMENT SUPPORT.
K-12 OUT OF SCHOOL TIME PROGRAMS (OST) K-12 OUT OF SCHOOL OPERATES IN PHILADELPHIA AND CAMDEN SCHOOL DISTRICTS AND PRIVATE SCHOOLS FOR CHILDREN IN GRADES K-12 DAILY FROM 3-6 PM AND ON ALL HALF DAYS.
