FEBRUARY/MARCH 2024 - SANTA CRUZ DEL QUICHE, GUATEMALA: 102 VOLUNTEERS (INCLUDES STOVERS)GENERAL SURGERY: 65, MOSTLY HERNIAS AND GALLBLADDERSPLASTIC SURGERY: 16, MOSTLY CLEFT LIP AND PALATESGYN SURGERY: 18, MOSTLY HYSTERECTOMIESCOMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS:CAMADRONAS (MIDWIVES): 18 WERE PROVIDED TWO DAYS OF TEACHING AND GIVEN BASIC SUPPLIES LIKE DOPPLERS AND SCALES.STOVE TEAM:18 VOLUNTEERS150 HOMES WERE INSTALLED WITH ONIL STOVES AND WATER FILTERS.1 ELEMENTARY SCHOOL RECEIVED AN ONIL INSTITUTIONAL STOVE AND 10 WATER FILTERS.IMPACT:1,250 MEN, WOMEN AND CHILDREN WILL HAVE SAFER LIVING CONDITIONS (HEALTH).1,800 TREES SAVED EACH YEAR FOR THE LIFE OF THE STOVE (ENVIRONMENTAL).23,400 HOURS OF LABOR SAVED FOR THE WOMEN DUE TO THE STOVE'S EFFICIENCY (ECONOMIC)NOVEMBER, 2023 TRIP WAS CANCELLED FOR VOLUNTEERS, BUT WE WERE STILL ABLE TO HAVE LOCALS IN COUNTRY INSTALL THE STOVES THAT CMT PAID FOR. 138 HOMES WERE INSTALLED WITH THE ONIL STOVES AND WATER FILTERS. IMPROVED THE LIVES OF MORE THAN 1,000 MEN, WOMEN & CHILDREN.
