UGANDA: OUR GOAL IS TO SEE OUR CLIENTS TRANSITION TO COMMERCIAL FARMING, DIVERSIFY THEIR INCOME, AND CONSISTENTLY LIVE ABOVE THE EXTREME POVERTY LINE. WE OPERATE A TWO-YEAR PROGRAM THAT PROVIDES INTENSIVE TRAINING, ONE-ON-ONE BUSINESS MENTORSHIP, INDIVIDUALIZED COUNSELING, LOW COST-FINANCING, AND MARKET LINKAGE. OUR TEAMS (AGRONOMIST, BUSINESS MENTOR, AND COUNSELOR) PARTNER WITH GROUPS OF 30 HOUSEHOLDS AND WORK ALONGSIDE THEM ONE DAY A WEEK FOR THE ENTIRE PROGRAM.AT THE END OF 2022 OUR CLIENTS SAW THEIR INCOME REACH $3.28 / HOUSEHOLD MEMBER / DAY (PURCHASING POWER PARITY). A 7.5X INCREASE FROM BASELINE THAT BROUGHT THEIR FAMILIES WELL ABOVE THE EXTREME POVERTY LINE. WE SPENT $1.11M IN 2022, OUR CLIENTS EARNED OVER $3.48 MILLION IN THE SAME PERIOD. A REAL TIME ROI OF 213%OUR POST-PROGRAM M&E HAS SHOWN THAT CLIENTS REMAIN OUT OF EXTREME POVERTY. GROUPS TRANSITION INTO FARMING COOPERATIVES AND EXTEND MEMBERSHIP TO OTHERS IN THEIR COMMUNITIES. NEW COOPERATIVE MEMBERS ARE EARNING ABOVE THE EXTREME POVERTY LINE AND 8X MORE THAN THEIR PEERS WITHOUT RECEIVING ANY DIRECT SERVICES FROM US. THIS CATALYTIC IMPACT HAS HELPED US REACH OVER 18,000 INDIVIDUALS OVER THE LAST FIVE YEARS. WE'LL ADD AN ADDITIONAL 21,600 INDIVIDUALS IN 2024.
