IN 2021, THE CHAMPION COUNCELING CENTER PARTNERED WITH LA COUNTY IN TEACHING TRAUMA AWARENESS AND TRAINING. THIS INVOLVED MEDIA, RADIO BROADCAST AND MARKETING MATERIALS.
IN 2021, CHAMPIONS FOR PROGRESS WAS AWARDED A GRANT TO PROMOTE VACCINE RELATED SERVICES IN THE LA COMMUNITIES HIT HARDEST BY COVID-19. THIS INCLUDED PROMOTING AWARENESS OF THE STATES VACCINE EFFORTS AND CACCINE LOCATIONS TO COMMUNITIES IN THEIR NATIVE LANGUAGE AND THOSE REQUIRING ASSISTANCE WITH VACCINE LOCATIONS. FOCUS WAS ON GEOGRAPHIC AREAS WHOSE POPULATIONS ARE LEAST LIKELY TO HAVE ACCESS TO CACCINE SERVICE, HEALTH CARE AND HAVE HIGH RATES OF CACCINE HESITANCY.
