GEANCOS MISSION IS TO SAVE AND IMPROVE THE LIVES IN AFRICA. THE PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES OF THE FOUNDATION ARE TO RECEIVE AND/OR MAINTAIN FUNDS WHICH ARE USED FOR SPECIAL MEDICAL MISSIONS, MATERNAL AND INFANT HEALTH PROGRAMS, AND SUPPORT OF SCHOOLS IN AFRICA.

IN 2021, IN RESPONSE TO THE HIGH INCIDENCES OF INFANT MORTALITY RATES ASSOCIATED WITH TRADITIONAL BIRTH ATTENDANT (TBA) PRACTICES IN NIGERIA, THE ORGANIZATION HELD A NEONATAL RESUSCITATION TRAINING IN WHICH IT TRAINED AND EQUIPPED TBAS IN NIGERIA. AT THE CONCLUSION OF THE TRAINING, THE PARTICIPANTS WERE ABLE TO SUCCESSFULLY CARRYOUT NEONATAL RESUSCITATION PROCEDURES.THE FOUNDATION CONTINUED TO SUPPORT A LEADERSHIP SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM FOR GIRLS IN NIGERIA NEGATIVELY IMPACTED BY TERRORISM AND GENDER INEQUALITY. THIS INCLUDED EXPANDING ITS SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMS AT NIGERIAN SCHOOLS BY COVERING TUITION AND TUITION RELATED FEES, ALONG WITH MEDICAL CARE AND SOCIAL SUPPORT. THE FOUNDATION ALSO FUNDED THE CONSTRUCTION OF A NEW ASSEMBLY HALL AT BRIGHTLAND ACADEMY AND PARTIALLY FUNDED THE CONSTRUCTION OF A NEW SCIENSE LABORATORY ALONG WITH DONATING ELECTRONIC WHITEBOARDS. DURING 2021, THE FOUNDATION CONTINUED THE EXPANSION OF ITS ANEMIA PROGRAM AT FOUR HOSPITALS AND CLINICS IN SOUTHEAST NIGERIA. THE FOUNDATIONS LEADERS MADE OFFICIAL VISITS TO THE PARTNER HOSPITALS THAT MANAGE THE DAILY SCREENING AND TREATMENT OF VULNERABLE WOMEN AND CHILDREN FOR ANEMIA, A DANGEROUS BLOOD CONDITION.INCLUDED IN THIS TOTAL ARE ALSO A PORTION OF THE SALARIES OF THE FOUNDATIONS ONLY TWO EMPLOYEES.
