A LEADER IN MUSIC EDUCATION IN THE BAY AREA, MORE THAN 300 YOUNG PEOPLE HAVE BEEN EXPOSED TO QUALITY MUSIC FROM DIFFERENT GENRES. IN ADDITION WE HAVE INCREASED THE MUSIC LITERACYOF OVER 700 STUDENTS THROUGH OUR SUMMER MUSIC ACADEMY. WE HAVE ALSO TRAINED OVER 900 FLEDGLING MUSICIANS THROUGH PREPARATORY STUDIES AND DEVELOPED PRE-PROFESSIONAL MUSICIANS THROUGH THE FREDERICK DOUGLASS YOUTH ENSEMBLE. 95% OF OUR STUDENTS WHO HAVE GRADUATED OUR PROGRAMS HAVE ENTERED HIGH SCHOOL, COLLEGE OR CONSERVATORY MUSIC PROGRAMS. SINCE OUR FORMATION WE HAVE PROVIDED DIRECT MUSIC EDUCATION FOR OVER 1,200 STUDENTS
