DURING THE YEAR, ARIZONA STATE PARKS FOUNDATION PROVIDED FUNDING FOR VARIOUS STATE PARKS AND TRAILS PROJETS INCLUDING: 10,000 TO ARIZONA STATE PARKS AND TRAILS (ASPT) FOR THE PICACHO PEAK CIVIL WAR REENACTMENT EVENT HELD AT PICACHO PEAK STATE PARK, WHICH ATTRACTS THOUSANDS OF VISITORS TO THE PARK OVER A TWO-DAY PERIOD; 3,945.02 TO ASPT FOR IMPROVEMENTS AT KARTCHNER CAVERNS STATE PARK; 4,369.08 TO THE ARIZONA SITE STEWARD PROJECT FOUNDATION THAT, AMONG OTHER THINGS, PROVIDES TRAINING TO SITE STEWARD VOLUNTEERS WHO MONITOR HISTORIC AND PREHISTORIC SITES AROUND THE STATE INCLUDING STATE PARKS AND TRAILS; 2,832.49 FOR IMPROVEMENTS TO LOST DUTCHMAN STATE PARK; AND 1,008 TO ASPT FOR VARIOUS STATE PARK PROJECTS AROUND THE STATE. PROJECTS LIKE THESE AFFIRM THE FOUNDATION'S COMMITMENT TO ENSURING STATE PARK AND TRAIL USERS AFFORDABLE ACCESS TO THE FINEST POSSIBLE EXPERIENCE WHILE VISITING ARIZONA'S NATURAL, CULTURAL AND RECRETIONAL RESOURCES.
