THE FOUNDATION MAINTAINS 230 ACRES, PROVIDING OPEN SPACE, GARDENS, SPECIAL EVENT VENUES AND RECREATIONAL FACILITIES IN AN EXCEPTIONAL SETTING FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE COMMUNITY.

ELINGS PARK IS THE LARGEST RECREATIONAL COMPLEX IN SANTA BARBARA, PROVIDING OUTDOOR RECREATIONAL NEEDS AND CREATING A HEALTHIER AND MORE VIBRANT COMMUNITY. THE FOUNDATION'S PURPOSE IS TO DEVELOP AND OPERATE A 230-ACRE PARK FOR THE PUBLIC TO ENJOY. THE PARK SERVES OVER 216,000 PEOPLE ANNUALLY AND MAINTAINS SPECIAL EVENT VENUES HOSTING OVER 100 GROUPS ANNUALLY FOR WEDDINGS, GRADUATIONS, MEMORIAL SERVICES AND OTHER REVENUE-GENERATING EVENTS. THE PARK IS A DESTINATION WEDDING VENUE AND WINNER OF THE PRESTIGOUS KNOT BEST OF WEDDING AWARD. THE TWO MULTI-USE NATUARL TURF FIELDS SERVE OVER 5,000 SOCCER, RUGBY AND LACROSSE PLAYERS, BOTH YOUTH AND ADULT GROUPS. THE THREE LIGHTED SOFTBALL/BASEBALL FIELDS ARE HOME TO THE LARGEST ADULT SOFTBALL LEAGUE IN SANTA BARBARA AND TOURNAMENTS THAT SERVE OVER 5,000 PLAYERS. THE SUMMER DAY CAMP PROGRAM IS RATED ONE OF THE BEST PROGRAMS IN THE COUNTY, WITH OVER 900 CHILDREN PARTICIPATING, IN WHICH MANY CHILDREN RECEIVE SCHOLARSHIPS. OTHER CHILDREN'S PROGRAMS, SUCH AS THE GREAT EGG HUNT SERVE AN ADDITIONAL 1,000 CHILDREN. THE PARK PROVIDES THE ONLY BICYCLE MOTOR CROSS (BMX) AND REMOTE CONTROL CAR TRACK ON THE CENTRAL COAST AND SERVES NEARLY 500 EACH YEAR. THE PARAGLIDING/HANG GLIDING HILL SERVES MORE THAN 500 ANNUALLY. THE VETERANS MEMORIAL RECOGNIZES THOSE FROM SANTA BARBARA WHO DIED SERVING THEIR COUNTRY AND IS HOME FOR MANY MEMORIAL AND VETERAN DAY EVENTS. ELINGS PARK OFFERS THE LARGEST OFF-LEASH DOG PARK IN THE REGION AND THE ELINGS PARK DOG OWNER GROUP CURRENTLY HAS OVER 650 REGISTERED MEMBERS. THE PARK IS AVAILABLE TO MOUNTAIN BIKERS, HIKERS AND WALKERS WHO ENJOY THE MORE THAN SEVEN MILES OF ESTABLISHED TRAILS FOR ALL AGES AND SKILL LEVELS.
