"SPECIAL PROJECTS PROGRAMS" SUPPORTING THE LOS ANGELES CITY PARKS INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING SIGNIFICANT PROJECTS: LOS ANGELES CLIPPERS BASKETBALL COURTS REFURBISHMENT; NIKE COACH AND REFEREE TRAINING FOR GIRLS YOUTH SPORTS; WERNER FAMILY FOUNDATION PLAYGROUND DONATION.


"FRIENDS OF THE PARKS PROGRAM" PROVIDES FOR INDIVIDUALS AND COMMUNITY GROUPS TO RAISE PRIVATE FUNDS FOR A SPECIFIC PARK FOR SMALL SCALE IMPROVEMENTS AND ENHANCEMENTS.
