BUILDING CHAMPIONS - NATIONAL TEAM: THE U.S. IS ONE OF FEW COUNTRIES THAT DOES NOT PROVIDE GOVERNMENT FUNDING FOR ITS OLYMPIC-LEVEL ATHLETES. NATIONAL TEAM SWIMMERS TRAIN UP TO FIVE HOURS A DAY AND MAINTAIN A RIGOROUS AND DEMANDING TRAVEL SCHEDULE.
