FUNNY FARM EARLY LEARNING CENTERS MISSION IS TO PROVIDE UNIQUE FULL-DAY YEAR-ROUND EARLY CHILDHOOD CARE AND EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCE FOR PRE-SCHOOL AGED CHILDREN WHILE SUPPORTING THE NEEDS OF WORKING PARENTS INCLUDING THE OFFER OF FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO FAMILIES WHO OTHERWISE WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO ENROLL THEIR CHILDREN.

IN 2023, FUNNY FARM EARLY LEARNING CENTER, INC. REACHED AN EXCITING MILESTONE AS IT CELEBRATED 20 YEARS OF SUCCESS IN PROVIDING HIGH QUALITY EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION TO FAMILIES IN THE PORTLAND-METRO COMMUNITIES. DURING THE REPORTING YEAR, THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDED YEAR-ROUND, FULL DAY PRESCHOOL EDUCATION TO 26 CHILDREN, FOR A TOTAL OF 276 SINCE ITS INCEPTION, AND TUITION ASSISTANCE THORUGH ITS SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM WAS AWARDED TO TWO STUDENTS, INCLUDING A REFUGEE FAMILY WHO FLED THE WAR IN UKRAINE ENABLING THE FAMILY TO SETTLE INTO THEIR NEW COMMUNITY AND SEEK EMPLOYMENT. IN COOPERATION WITH THE OHSU FOUNDATION, OUR PRESCHOOLERS RAISED $4,152.39 FOR DOERNBECHER CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL, SUPPORTING PREMATURE BIRTH AND ITS NEONATAL INTENSIVE CARE UNIT (NICU.)
