DEDICATED TO EXCELLENCE, HEARTLAND YOUTH CHOIR DEVELOPS MUSICIANSHIP AND BUILDS CHARACTER OF YOUTH THROUGH THE REHEARSAL AND PERFORMANCE OF QUALITY CHORAL LITERATURE.

YOUTH CHOIRS: 140 YOUTH PARTICIPATED IN 9 CHOIRS BASED ON AGE AND ABILITY. CHOIRS REHEARSE WEEKLY DURING THE DURATION OF THE SCHOOL YEAR. CHOIRS PERFORMED 24 TIMES WITH 5 MAJOR PUBLIC CONCERTS. CHOIRS PERFORMED 19 SMALLER PUBLIC AND PRIVATE EVENTS AS WELL AS OUTREACH OPPORTUNITIES IN SCHOOLS. WE REACHED OVER 4,000 AUDIENCE MEMBERS DURING THESE PERFORMANCES. AN ADDITIONAL 441 YOUTH PARTICIPATED IN FESTIVALS AND PERFORMANCES MADE POSSIBLE BY HEARTLAND YOUTH CHOIR.
SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM: FAMILIES OF 18 SINGERS REQUESTED AND WERE QUALIFIED FOR TUITION/TOUR SCHOLARSHIPS (REDUCTION OF PAYMENTS) RANGING FROM $98 TO $938. SCHOLARSHIPS WERE BASED ON INCOME AND SPECIAL CIRCUMSTANCES AS DETERMINED BY A BOARD COMMITTEE.
