DEDICATED TO EXCELLENCE, HEARTLAND YOUTH CHOIR DEVELOPS MUSICIANSHIP AND BUILDS CHARACTER OF YOUTH THROUGH THE REHEARSAL AND PERFORMANCE OF QUALITY CHORAL LITERATURE.

YOUTH CHOIRS: 240 YOUTHS PARTICIPATED IN 14 CHOIRS BASED ON AGE AND ABILITY. CHOIRS REHEARSE WEEKLY DURING THE DURATION OF THE SCHOOL YEAR. CHOIRS PERFORMED 21 TIMES WITH 5 MAJOR PUBLIC CONCERTS. CHOIRS PERFORMED 16 SMALLER PUBLIC AND PRIVATE EVENTS AS WELL AS OUTREACH OPPORTUNITIES IN SCHOOLS. WE REACHED OVER 4,000 AUDIENCE MEMBERS DURING THESE PERFORMANCES. AN ADDITIONAL 207 YOUTHS PARTICIPATED IN FESTIVALS AND PERFORMANCES MADE POSSIBLE BY HEARTLAND YOUTH CHOIR.


SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM: FAMILIES OF 21 SINGERS REQUESTED AND WERE QUALIFIED FOR TUITION/TOUR SCHOLARSHIPS (REDUCTION OF PAYMENTS) RANGING FROM $113 TO $873. SCHOLARSHIPS WERE BASED ON INCOME AND SPECIAL CIRCUMSTANCES AS DETERMINED BY A BOARD COMMITTEE.
