BEL CANTO CHORUS IS MILWAUKEE'S PREMIER INDEPENDENT CHORAL ORGANIZATION. FOUNDED IN 1931, BEL CANTO IS COMMITTED TO CONNECTING SINGERS, AUDIENCES, AND THE COMMUNITY THROUGH EXPERIENCES WITH DIVERSE CHORAL MUSIC. THE CHORUS PERFORMS FOUR UNIQUE CONCERTS EACH SEASON IN GREATER MILWAUKEE'S MOST BEAUTIFUL VENUES. THE 100-MEMBER GROUP HAS BEEN LED FOR MORE THAN 30 YEARS BY MUSIC DIRECTOR RICHARD HYNSON, WHO IS ONE OF THE NATION'S FINEST CHORAL AND ORCHESTRAL CONDUCTORS.
THE SENIOR SINGERS PROGRAM PROVIDES THE CHORAL EXPERIENCE TO ADULTS AGE 55 OR BETTER. ITS PRINCIPAL OBJECTIVE IS TO IMPROVE THE PARTICIPANTS' QUALITY OF LIFE AND HEALTH THROUGH THE EXPERIENCE OF CHORAL SINGING. THERE ARE CURRENTLY THREE CHOIRS WITH APPROXIMATELY 200 MEMBERS TOTAL.
