HOSTING INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS FROM LOCAL COLLEGES AND UNIVERSITIES. STUDENTS ARE INVITED TO MEMBER HOMES TO EXPERIENCE AMERICAN CULTURE AND WAY OF LIFE. ACTIVITIES SUCH AS PICNICS, DANCES AND TOURS ARE HELD AMONG STUDENTS AND COMMUNITY MEMBERS TO PROMOTE INTERNATIONAL CULTURAL UNDERSTANDING AND APPRECIATION. STUDENTS FROM DIFFERENT NATIONS ARE ENCOURAGED TO SPEAK ABOUT THEIR COUNTRY, CUSTOMS AND CULTURE AT MEETINGS.
HOSTING VISITORS THROUGH GLOBAL TIES AND THE US DEPARTMENT OF STATE. VISITORS ARE TAKEN TO AREA BUSINESSES OR OTHER INSTITUTIONS OF INTEREST, SUCH AS HOSPITALS, LAW FIRMS, RADIO AND TV STATIONS, UNIVERSITIES AND FINANCIAL INSTITUTIONS FOR AN EXCHANGE OF INFORMATION AND IDEAS. TOPICS CAN INCLUDE SUCH THINGS AS LEGAL AND EDUCATIONAL SYSTEMS, WOMENS RIGHTS, VOTING PROCEDURES, FINANCIAL SYSTEMS, YOUTH, HUMAN DEVELOPMENT, AGRICULTURE, ETC.
