WESTERN HEMISPHERE INSTITUTES 9 - ADMINISTRATION OF THE STUDY OF THE U.S. INSTITUTE FOR STUDENT LEADERS ON U.S. HISTORY AND GOVERNMENT. THIS PROGRAM PROVIDES UNDERGRADUATE STUDENT LEADERS WITH A DEEPER UNDERSTANDING OF THE U.S., WHILE ENHANCING THEIR LEADERSHIP AND COLLECTIVE PROBLEM SOLVING SKILLS. ITD ADMINISTERS FIVE SUCH PROGRAMS PER YEAR, HOSTING UP TO A TOTAL OF 100 STUDENTS.


AMCE: PROFESSIONAL FELLOWS PROGRAM - CITIZEN PARTICIPATION IN GOVERNMENT-THE GRANT PROJECT AIMS TO FOSTER MUTUAL UNDERSTANDING, COLLABORATION, GLOBAL NETWORKING, AND LEADERSHIP AND PROFESSIONAL SKILLS DEVELOPMENT AMONG CIVIL SOCIETY PROFESSIONALS FROM THE SELECTED MIDDLE EAST AND NORTH AFRICAN COUNTRIES.


STUDY OF THE US INSTITUTE FOR SECONDARY SCHOOL EDUCATORS AND OTHER PROGRAMS- THE PROGRAMS ARE PART OF THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF STATE'S STUDY OF THE U.S. INSTITUTES (SUSI) FOR SECONDARY EDUCATORS, AND ARE SPONSORED BY U.S. DEPARTMENT OF STATE'S BUREAU OF EDUCATIONAL AND CULTURAL AFFAIRS. THE PRIMARY GOAL OF THE 2020 SUSI FOR SECONDARY EDUCATORS AND OTHER PROGRAMS ARE TO PROVIDE PARTICIPANTS WITH AN IN-DEPTH STUDY OF U.S. CULTURE AND SOCIETY THROUGH THE LENS OF LIBERTY, EQUALITY, AND THE AMERICAN DREAM.
