HARVARD-YENCHING INSTITUTE ("HYI") PROVIDES FINANCIAL SUPPORT TO PROMOTE HIGHER EDUCATION IN ASIA/SELECTED EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS IN ASIA, THE PRESIDENT AND FELLOWS OF HARVARD COLLEGE ("HARVARD"), AND THE UNITED BOARD FOR CHRISTIAN HIGHER EDUCATION IN ASIA ("UBCHEA").

GRANT TO SUPPORT HARVARD TO SUPPORT THE UNITED BOARD'S INITIATIVES TO SUPPORT ASIAN INSTITUTIONS THROUGH FACULTY AND LEADERSHIP DEVELOP PROGRAMS AND PROGRAM GRANTS WHICH SUPPORT HIGHER EDUCATION IN ASIA.


PROVIDES SUPPORT TO HARVARD UNIVERSITY IN THE FORM OF GRANTS TO SUPPORT THE HARVARD-YENCHING LIBRARY, THE HARVARD JOURNAL OF ASIATIC STUDIES, PUBLICATIONS OF SCHOLARLY WORKS IN THE HUMANITIES AND SOCIAL SCIENCES AND PROVIDES GRANTS TO SUPPORT ASIAN STUDENTS' ATTENDANCE IN HARVARD GRADUATE PROGRAMS ALL TO SUPPORT HIGHER EDUCATION IN ASIA.
